Violet manages the bookings for the bands at a club. She has one rule she lives by: No Dating Rock Stars. Razer has been after her for a while. He flirts and tries to get close to her, but she keeps pushing him away. Alex is the new guy who wants to be booked at the club and seems interested in Violet as well. When the club has money trouble, the two guys decide to compete in a contest for a date with Violet PLUS drum up excitement for the club and prove who the best performer is. Will either one win Violet's heart or will she keep true to her rule.

"'Your boyfriends are getting a bit snarly with each other out there. Again. I've dealt with them out for the moment but you need to get this sorted out.'

'There's nothing to sort.'

She laughed.

'Deny it all you want. You have two hot guys chasing after you. Pick one.'

'I pick neither but they won't believe me. Too many rock stars, that's my problem.'

She snorted again. 'There's only two of them.'

'Two is way too many. The ideal number of rock stars is zero.'"

This is a cute, angsty story with rockers. I have a thing for rockers. How could Violet think that zero rockers is a good thing? There isn't a ton of heat in this book. As soon as anything gets going, Violet has her hang ups or gets interrupted. There is a little bit of a love triangle going on that keeps you guessing about who she will choose or will win the contest and does she truly want anyone to win. I felt torn most of the book because I wanted Violet to get in touch with her feelings instead of pushing them down and feeling guilted to throw herself into her work.

Since this is book one in this series, I assume we will get more books about the characters that were introduced in this story. I liked Carlie and the others enough that I would like to read more about them. It will be fun to see where their lives take us and if we meet any more cute rock stars.

I was pleasantly surprised once the story took off.  While at one point it did seem the situation may be farfetched, I was so into the storyline that it honestly didn't bother me at all.

Calla and Cain.  Young and in love but as were Romeo and Juliet, they too are forbidden by both sets of parents to be together.  For two years, the pair sneak around and finally elope.  But as fate would have the same day they are married Calla's heart is broken in to a million pieces and flees her husband and her family.

Fast forward six years…she returns to town to finally get the divorce she should have gotten years ago.  However, what she finds completely takes her by surprise.  Cain is no longer the young man who was striving to be a cop, no he is a man now and has stepped into the motorcycle club his father used to run.  Not just "stepped into it" either….he runs it.

To Calla's shock, once Cain realizes she is back, he refuses to let her go.  Literally!!  Not just for the reason that he still loves her but for the fact that a rival gang has found out about her being his wife and has put a hit out on her.

To add to all this shock, Calla finds out why her husband of a few hours did what he did all those years ago and is even more heartbroken to find out who was also involved.   If this all wasn't enough, there are some other bombs dropped on her as well that involve her family….and boy are they some doozies!   It was at this point that it seemed a little farfetched but like I said I was so invested in the story and characters that I barely blinked an eye at the absurdity of it all.  Not only was it a great love story but there was suspension and mystery and held my attention the whole time….Looking forward to reading the next book and seeing what happens next with this crazy bunch!!!

My brain finally catches up with the fact I'm naked in front of Cain for the first time in six years. I sit up in a rush of water and bring my knees to my chest, resting my chin on top of them.

"You… you shouldn't be in here."

"You wouldn't answer me," he says exasperatedly.

"Well, no shit. My head was underwater. That still doesn't give you the right to just walk in here."

"When you don't answer me when I'm standing right outside of a wide open door, not to mention the fact this is my house… well, then I think I have every fucking right. Don't you?"

"No, I don't. You could have just peeked in and seen I was fine and waited. Was this some kind of ploy for you to get me right where you wanted me? Are you so afraid that the minute you turn your back on me I will up and try to leave? Are you going to watch my every move? Or did you have an ulterior motive in suggesting I shower, just so I could strip down naked and you could make damn sure I didn't go anywhere? So tell me what the hell it is, because this back and forth, hot and cold game you've started is really starting to piss me the hell off!"

I glare up at him, not quite able to read his eyes.

What I do know is that the sexual tension between the two of us is so strong, it's working triple overtime. There's only one tiny little obstacle in our way… and that would be our past. Mia and Dean.   Two unlikely students to fall in love.   She is the nerdy but hot girl with a smart mouth that boys have a crush on but she has no clue.  Dean….the hot, popular, town golden boy football star.  Each of them with a home life they wish they can escape from.

Mia and Dean start out as tutor and student only to have this relationship grow and turn into something more.  Only after a few months things take a turn and Dean starts to pull away for no reason.  Or at least Mia doesn't think so.  And then Dean does the unthinkable and totally humiliates Mia for all the school and town to see.  So she does what she has to and runs…moves and never looks back after graduation….

When her estranged brother who she hasn't seen in years offers to let Mia come and live with him after graduation she has no clue he has a roommate.   Or that the roommate is Dean.  As you can imagine when they realize they are now living together there are fireworks at their reunion.

The rest of the book is basically about them learning to live together while trying to forget the love they felt towards each other.  Will Dean finally confess why he treated her so horribly?  Will he let her in on his secret?  Can she forgive him for humiliating her and making her not want to trust men again?

The book started off great.  Mia and Dean's banter was comical.  Him trying to convince her to hang out and tutor him was great and I settled in and couldn't wait to read about their journey but somewhere about half way through or so it slowed down and the plot kinda came predictable and the comical one liners and antics disappeared.  While I really liked the first half of the book, the last half was just okay for me.

"Are you coming to the pep rally tonight?" he asks.

"Probably not."

"Why?"

"School spirit isn't really my thing. No offense, but…football isn't either."

He laughs, and I suddenly realize that the two of us have never talked about football during our sessions together. In fact, whenever I've brought it up, he's changed the subject to something else.

"Well," he says, letting my hand go. "You should come for me instead."

"What? What do you mean?"

"I mean, since you're not into school spirit or football, but you're clearly into me, you can make an exception and come tonight."

"You're getting quite presumptuous lately." I put on my best poker face. "Do I need to help you with that definition?"

"Not when I know the true word you're looking for is cognizant." He grins, stepping back. "I hope to see you tonight."

"I'll think about it."

"I'm sure you always do." He gives me a look so sexy that I almost melt into the floor.

Union of Sin is the second book in the Vault of Sin series. And yes, I would recommend reading Shot of Sin, the first book before reading this one. It will help you understand what is going on and know all the characters back story's.

T.J. is a guy that is willing to do whatever he has to to protect the love of his life, his wife Cassie. Even if that means giving her up for the rest of his life. Cassie on the other hand isn't willing to just sit back and watch T.J. try to ruin what they have built together as husband and wife. She is ready to fight for her marriage and her husband. Can Cassie make him see they are two pieces of a whole, or will he succeed in pushing her away and destroy everything that means so much to him?

Union of Sin is a fairly short quick read. I once again loved all the characters and the story Eden weaved between all of them. I enjoyed getting glimpses of Leo and Shay from Shot of Sin, and of course I'm so ready to find out why Brute is the way he is. This book is hot and steamy, heart wrenching, and filled with lots of angst. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a quick, yet satisfying read.
